A world of difference

The KNVB is focused mainly on developing countries that fall within the policy of the Dutch government; but WorldCoaches are active worldwide. Currently, WorldCoaches extends throughout South America, Africa and Asia.

Worldwide

The majority of the countries where the WorldCoaches operate reflect the humanitarian policies of Dutch government. The Netherlands has joined sports coalitions in Zambia, Senegal, Kenya and Mozambique. The KNVB is responsible for the roll out of the WorldCoaches program in these countries. Furthermore, The Netherlands has a historical relationship with some of the countries participating in the program such as Suriname, South Africa and Indonesia.

Finally, the KNVB links the activities of the WorldCoaches to major international tournaments where the Dutch national team also participates. In addition to the construction of a special Orange Cruyff Court during the 2010 World Cup in the host country South Africa some 250 WorldCoaches were also trained.
